Lower Elochoman III Restoration Project
Project Summary
The project restored and enhanced ripar- ian and floodplain habitat associated within the lower Elochoman River by shifting the main channel of Nelson Creek from its roadside ditch into it’s historic floodplain.
Evergreen Developers excavated over two miles of stream channel, graded topography covering 20 acres of floodplain, harvested 5 acres of timber, placed over 800 pieces of wood in stream, backfilled over one mile of irrigation ditch and installed a 60′ clear span bridge.
